About Us

Vortex is a group of students from Delhi Public School, Rohini who share a passion for Mathematics and want to share this with others through various events ranging from problem solving to quizzing. The symposium is an opportunity for the students who wish to expand their horizons of learning and provide a platform for young minds to display their talent and skill in mathematics. It will stimulate a competitive environment and compel participants to push their boundaries in the field of mathematics.

  • An online preliminary round will be held using Google Forms and the finals will be held over a Zoom meeting.

  • Eligibility: Classes 9-12

  • Each team will have to solve a set of advanced math problems within a fixed amount of time.

  • Eligibility: Classes 6-8

  • An engaging group discussion that requires you to be vocal and confident about your opinions. The preliminary round will include video submissions on a specific topic, followed by the finalsto be held over Zoom. Video submission must not span more than 2 minutes and should be submitted in MP4 format.

  • Final date for video submissions for the preliminary round is 21 July 2023. The topic for the same would be released on the discord server on 19 July 2023.

  • Eligibility Classes 9-12
    Participants: 1 team of 1 participant per school.

  • Two Participants both from Class 5 are required to make an advertisement on any one of the following topics and send their videos:

    • • Selling a number from 1 to 9 (explaining the importance of the digits)
    • • Fractions
    • • Patterns formed by geometrical shapes

  • Rules:

    • • The advertisement must highlight the practical applications of the given topics.
    • • The video must not span more than 2 minutes and should be submitted in mp4
    • format.
    • • The maximum size of the videos should be 1GB

  • Judgment criteria: Originality, Relevance, Creativity, Props used, Effective usage of math concepts

  • Final date for submission of the video is 19 July 2023

  • Eligibility: Class 5
    Participants: 1 team of 2 participants per school.
